"Crisis on Moonbase: Momentous!" is the third episode of the fourth season and the sixty-fifth overall of LEGO City Adventures. It first aired on April 23, 2022 in Canada.
Synopsis[]
Billy must save his astronaut hero when Captain Momentous hallucinates an alien invasion after eating expired astronaut food.
Plot[]
Billy McCloud and Madison Yea are at Simulated Moonbase Momentous with Captain Richard Momentous and Lieutenant Rivera, trying out powdered space food. Billy and Madison have been unable to actually have any, as they are upside-down to simulate life in space. Momentous releases them from the ceiling and they land on a cushion. Rivera points out various parts of the moonbase, including the moon buggy garage.
Billy tells Momentous that he’s a big fan and asks how to be like him, so Momentous starts giving a long speech. Rivera hands Billy and Madison some space food, warning them to check the expiration dates. Billy accidentally gives Momentous expired powdered anchovies instead of powdered water, which causes Momentous to start having eye spasms and hallucinate.
Momentous accuses them of being aliens and flees into the moon buggy garage. Rivera and Billy try getting through to him, but Momentous accidentally activates the moonbase self-destruct sequence and leaves in a moon buggy. Rivera is unable to disarm the self-destruct sequence, but Billy inputs the passcode of Momentous’ space camp locker combination, disarming it. Rivera, Billy, and Madison proceed to chase after Momentous in another moon buggy.
Duke DeTain tells Momentous to pull over, but Momentous escapes by riding his moon buggy up a building.
Meanwhile, Billy is distressed at having "broke" Momentous as Madison tries to reassure him. Rivera spots Momentous on a rooftop. From the rooftop, Momentous sees the rocket launch being prepared and becomes more distressed. Having caught up, Billy tries to help Momentous, but Momentous incapacitates their moon buggy and escapes on his own to sabotage the launch.
Billy uses his propeller beanie to pursue Momentous, who has climbed onto the rocket and begun sabotaging it. He snaps Momentous out of his stupor by showing him his souvenir collection and explaining that Momentous is his hero. Momentous frantically repairs the launch system before the rocket blasts off, and Billy rescues him and carries him to the ground.
In gratitude, Momentous gives Billy an old key that dates back to when his family arrived on a boat to reach The City. Madison excitedly says that the key could be to the locked book.
