"The Brawl in City Hall" is the first episode of the fourth season and the sixty-third overall of LEGO City Adventures. It first aired on April 16, 2022 in Canada.
Synopsis[]
While saving Maddy’s mom when the City Hall’s new security system runs amok, Billy and Maddy find a clue to the City founder’s identity.
Plot[]
Madison Yea and Billy McCloud are discussing their school history report about the founder of The City. Madison says that they need to find a big, previously undiscovered clue to get started.
The two arrive at City Hall, which is surrounded by firetrucks and police cars. Freya McCloud, Dr. Floyd Wexler, Solomon Fleck, and Chief Percival Wheeler explain that that Carol Yea is trapped inside with Dr. Wexler’s malfunctioning fire and police security systems.
Madison attempts to rush in to save her mother, but she is stopped by Duke DeTain. Billy helps her sneak in through the sewers and they are stopped once more by Duke, who decides to accompany them for their own safety.
Inside City Hall, Duke is immediately incapacitated by a hose from the fire security system, which is bickering with the police security system over who is best suited for the job. The police system attempts to neutralize Madison and Billy using cages. The fire system offers assistance, and the drones continue to argue as they chase Billy and Madison.
In Carol’s office, having briefly outrun the security systems, Billy tries to calm Madison down by telling her to focus on getting her mom out rather than getting upset. The two drones enter the room, but are so focused on fighting each other that Billy and Madison manage to escape.
They soon reach the mayor’s office where Carol is trapped in a cage attached to the ceiling. Billy uses the mayor’s laptop to deactivate the security systems as Madison distracts them by chastising them for being emotional rather than working together. As Billy types on the laptop, a book from a secret compartment under the mayor’s desk falls into his bag. Right as the drones resolve to cooperate, Billy succeeds shutting them off and freeing Carol.
Back at home, Billy and Madison are working on their history report. Billy attempts to pull out his laptop, but instead finds the locked book from the mayor’s office. Madison excitedly points out that the date written on the cover of the book is the same day the City was founded.
