"Who is Ludmilla Ersatz?" is the second episode of the fourth season and the sixty-fourth overall of LEGO City Adventures. It first aired on April 16, 2022 in Canada.
Synopsis[]
With help from the kids, Daisy Kaboom Lewis creates an alter ego to take the blame for her past mis-deeds, but two identities prove hard to maintain.
Plot[]
Inside Carol’s office, Billy McCloud and Madison Yea are attempting to open a locked book. Mayor Solomon Fleck enters, and Carol Yea and Fleck fondly reminisce about how Madison used to steal his pens and sit at his desk, which Madison denies. The mayor then explains that Daisy Kaboom will be working for The City to demolish the Flecko Museum of Modern Art.
Furious that Daisy is working for the City, R. E. Fendrich publishes an embarrassing video in which Daisy fails to set off an explosive and falls down.
Billy and Madison come across Daisy, who is excited to have been chosen to "kaboom" the Flecko (as it is a rare occasion she will be able to blow something up without people getting angry), and offer to help her any way she needs. Meanwhile, residents of the city view Daisy’s embarrassing video and laugh. Madison suggests that Daisy can hide her past by blaming it on somebody else, while Billy suggests that Daisy instead tell the truth.
At a press conference, Daisy disguises as "Ludmilla Ersatz" and has Ludmilla take blame for the embarrassing footage. Ludmilla proves extremely popular among residents of The City, but Billy is not so convinced. Due to Ludmilla’s popularity, the Mayor announces that Ludmilla and Daisy will compete, with the winner getting the contract to demolish the Flecko.
At the Kaboom-Off, the crowd cheers for Ludmilla. Dynamo Doug explains that the winner will be whoever can blow up their Flecko models without damaging the surrounding model buildings. Madison tries to stop the show by telling the mayor that it would be unfair to Daisy, but he tells Madison that he’s glad her direct personality from when she was younger hasn’t changed.
Daisy blows up her model of the Flecko without damaging the surroundings, but the audience is unimpressed. Madison tells Daisy that she doesn’t need to hide her past, and Daisy agrees. As Ludmilla, Daisy triggers a large explosion, making it appear as if Ludmilla has been blown away forever. When the crowd grows concerned, Daisy comes clean and reveals that she and Ludmilla are the same person. The mayor declares that Daisy is the only choice for demolishing the Flecko, but that the Kaboom-Off raised so much interest for the museum that it will instead be reopened.
As the stadium is being cleared up, Madison says she’ll give back the mayor’s pen and apologizes to Daisy for not getting the contract. Daisy however is relieved as being two people was too stressful, and she is still glad that she was the only choice for demolishing the museum.
Upset that Daisy still isn’t returning his calls, Fendrich starts to publish another video but knocks over his drink, shorting out his laptop.
