"Wreckless Driving" is the fourth episode of the fourth season and the sixty-sixth overall of LEGO City Adventures. It first aired on April 30, 2022 in Canada.
Synopsis[]
Billy and Maddy must help Stunt Driver Wallop pass a safe driving course, or risk being banned from city streets forever.
Plot[]
As Billy plays games on his phone, Madison tells him that she used Momentus’ key to unlock the locked book, which was written by the captain of the ship that brought the first settlers to the city. However, the writing on the last page has faded, preventing them from knowing who wrote it.
Meanwhile, Wallop the stunt biker is being pursued by Duke DeTain.
Madison tries getting Billy’s attention, but he is so focused on his game that he bumps into a mailbox. Madison suggests that he take a break from gaming, but Billy instead deletes his gaming apps and resolves to stop playing video games forever.
Duke catches up to Wallop and writes him up for reckless driving, much to Madison’s disbelief. She defends Wallop by citing his stunt accomplishments, but Duke orders Wallop to pass a safe driving test or he will be banned from driving on city roads. Wallop fails his driving test, and Billy thinks that Wallop should start to drive more safely for his own good. They ask the stunt team for help.
Spotlight says that they need to change Wallop’s entire personality while Rocket Racer drafts a safe driving program on his tablet. Billy reaches for the tablet due to its similarities to a game, but Madison encourages him to stay strong.
After his training, Spotlight says that Wallop can do a celebratory stunt, but Wallop declines because it would be unsafe. He passes his driving test, but he and Billy are only reluctantly enthusiastic.
At the stadium, the stunt team is going over their final trick. Rocket Racer asks Billy to control Chimpanzevil, but Billy refuses and Madison controls it instead. However, Wallop's safe driving ruins the trick's timing. Since it is too late to change it, the stunt team decides to continue the show even if they are booed by the city.
During the stunt show, Wallop has messed up every stunt, which has bored the crowd. Right as the stunt team prepares to do their final trick, Duke DeTain enters the stadium in pursuit of Ice Cream Truck. Duke and the other stunt team members all crash while chasing Ice Cream Truck, leaving only Wallop.
Madison tells Wallop to do the trick, explaining that he does not have to give up stunts forever just because he is giving them up in certain situations. Billy realizes that the same applies to him with gaming, and says that he will help by controlling the ramp with the correct height and timing. Wallop successfully performs the trick, stopping Ice Cream Truck to the cheers of the crowd.
The next day, Billy says he will only play games for a few minutes a day, while Wallop drives with a fake steering wheel as Rocket Racer remains in the driver's seat.
